On Friday 23rd of April, our JSC members ran a terrific Anzac Day Service. Laura, Kara and Alex spoke to the students about the significance of the day as well as impressions about the War memorial from the 5/6 Canberra Camp. The school had a special visitor, Mr John Grant who spoke about the meaning of ANZAC and his own experiences of World War 2. The whole school listened carefully to Mr Grant then played "The Last Post" and observed a minutes silence. The rouse was then played and our school flag returned to full mast. Jessica then lead the school in a proud rendition of "Advance Australia Fair". Thanks to the students and parents who provided flowers for the wreathes that selected students placed at the base of the flag pole. These wreathes were then taken to the Queen's Park war memorial for the weekend by some JSC members. Our students have a greater appreciation of Anzac Day because of the service. This creative flower photo was taken by Sean.

ANZAC Day
We are holding an ANZAC Day ceremony on Friday 23rd April at 10.30am at the school. We are very excited as we have an ANZAC Day Committee who have worked hard to put this together. We would like to thank Mrs Patralakis for her organisation and enthusiasm in putting all the program together! We are selling badges to support the cause also!
RCH Appeal
A very big Thank you to all the parents and students who donated money to the Royal Children's Hospital Appeal through Strathmore North Primary School. We were able to raise $698 for a very worthy cause and one that is very much a tradition in Victoria.
Once again thank you!
