Thank you to everyone who supported the Pet Food Appeal(PFA) over the last 6 weeks. We were able to take 3 car loads of blankets, towels and food down to the Lost Dogs
Home and Cat shelter in NOrth Melbourne. The cats, dogs and volunteers sent us a certificate for our help so we pass on their thanks to you who provided all the items.

Pet Food Appeal (PFA)
The Junior School Council would like to support the Lost Dogs' Home and the Cat Protection Society in North Melbourne. The way in which we can do this is to ask everyone in our school community to donate used blankets and towels for their Winter Warmth Appeal as well as donating cans of dog and cat food. Boxes will be set up near the computer lab for these items!

Anzac Day 2010
On Friday 23rd of April, our JSC members ran a terrific Anzac Day Service. Laura, Kara and Alex spoke to the students about the significance of the day as well as impressions about the War memorial from the 5/6 Canberra Camp. The school had a special visitor, Mr John Grant who spoke about the meaning of ANZAC and his own experiences of World War 2. The whole school listened carefully to Mr Grant then played "The Last Post" and observed a minutes silence. The rouse was then played and our school flag returned to full mast. Jessica then lead the school in a proud rendition of "Advance Australia Fair". Thanks to the students and parents who provided flowers for the wreathes that selected students placed at the base of the flag pole. These wreathes were then taken to the Queen's Park war memorial for the weekend by some JSC members. Our students have a greater appreciation of Anzac Day because of the service. This creative flower photo was taken by Sean.

ANZAC Day
We are holding an ANZAC Day ceremony on Friday 23rd April at 10.30am at the school. We are very excited as we have an ANZAC Day Committee who have worked hard to put this together. We would like to thank Mrs Patralakis for her organisation and enthusiasm in putting all the program together! We are selling badges to support the cause also!
